“FACING FRONTALLY”

FACING FRONTALLY

Be aware!
face the whole thing frontally
connect to those intimate
with catastrophe
reach across generations centuries
cry out to those yes
brothers and sisters
teach us how it is done
we who are so soft
must learn fast.

Friends neighbors relatives afar
look for reflections of
glimmers of
echoes of
memories of
illusions of
normal happiness
denial rages enrages and
we who are so soft
must learn fast!
