SCRAPING SILENCE – II

Scraping silence off the dry surface
baked naked under this 21st century sun
yielding no particle of voice or reason
no welcome no embrace

Who is there to embrace where
dry surfaces proffer nothing
but parched silence
or deep-throated wails

We may experience harmful
particle pollution and the air
is expected to be unhealthy
for sensitive groups.
