“Radiance – III”

RADIANCE – III

I.
Dusk descending
Light extinguished
Radiance fried to a hot crisp
Remember
was it three years
you walked  walked
pavements deciphering tablets
inscribed concrete revealing
inner and greater
eye penetrating truths
sought in stone
as exquisite
detritus rose
up in silent sublime
dances of plagues.

II.
Great solitude
macabre frigid
must I go there
again
they say resilience
I say precarity
or is prevarication the name
of the game
a pillow for those
seeking soft
cocoons circling shards
shielding penetration
shimmering radiance
again the passing failing
Light of these times
rays bending low before
all others.
