FOR FERI – V

 

Sitting in your regal living room
new couch and chairs
surrounded by pictures and books
beer and nuts
conversation that ebbs and flows
with unfamiliar tenuosity.

Back home only the rich enjoy
such a scale as this
but your riches go far deeper
than large rooms to heat
I too have a humble wealth
